Specialisterne Brazil has won one of the United Nations Global Compact awards for 2019. During a ceremony in Sao Paulo, on May 16, our general director in Brazil received the award along with 12 other social initiatives focused on the SDGs. (Sustainable Development Goals).
This year, more than 800 projects have participated in the award and our results in the insertion of people with autism in the labor market in collaboration with other organizations have been rewarded as the best project for “Small and medium-sized companies in collaboration with other organizations” .
Specialisterne Brazil signed the United Nations Global Compact in 2017 and is a member of the “Human Rights in the Companies” working group. The United Nations Global Compact was launched in 2000 to involve companies in aligning their strategies and operations with the 10 universal principles of human rights, employment, the environment and anti-corruption. Today, the Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, with more than 13,000 members in nearly 80 local networks covering 160 countries. The Brazilian network of the Global Compact is gaining more and more space and relevance both within the Brazilian business sector and within the structure of the Global Compact. The Brazilian network is currently the third largest network in the world, with almost 800 members.
